The Sepasoft MES Product Suite provides a modular approach to building your own Enterprise Class MES solution. We provide you with OEE/Downtime Tracking, SPC, Production Scheduling, Recipe Management and Track & Trace modules that can function and operate by themselves, or integrate seamlessly when installed together. The modules provide everything needed to build and deliver a stand-alone MES application, or can be integrated quite nicely with third party ERP, Inventory Management and Asset Management systems. The MES modules form an additional layer on the Ignition software stack, extending the standard functionality and also allowing for a rich and powerful way to customize the MES implementation to deliver virtually anything required for your MES solution.
We don't provide an out-of-the-box MES solution. Some assembly is required, and that's ok because every manufacturing operation will have something unique about it that you simply can't account for or handle through a configurable solution. Whether it is the process data to be tracked, materials used, data sources, which ERP system or PLC you need to connect to, or how KPI metrics are calculated, every manufacturer needs something special and specific to their process and the way they run their business. Even within the same organization, different plants and different departments needs a level of customization 'outside of the box'.
The Sepasoft MES Solution will not provide everything you need, but it will get you close to your goal and very quickly there. What is not provided can then be easily implemented using the standard ignition components and scripting functions. Whatever your need, you can be confident that the Sepasoft MES / Ignition solution will allow you to create the MES solution that your business needs.
Whether you use just one of our modules or the entire product suite, we provide you with a set of lean manufacturing tools to realize your continuous improvement initiatives. Our focus is primarily on the manufacturing floor, providing real-time analysis, monitoring and control of your manufacturing process.
Implementing solutions with our modules closely follows the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC process. In the Define step, you create the business case and project charter, identify the stakeholders and map out your process. As you implement the solution as part of the Measure step, you identify the metrics you are interested in and capture baseline data. The Analyze and Improve steps of the DMAIC process are your continuous improvement activities that identify the root causes of process variance, waste and inefficiency. When you are ready to implement solutions in the Control step, you simply enable the controls built-in to our modules to alert and notify personnel of process abnormalities, generate alarms and even stop production runs if you choose.
In most manufacturing companies, there are a host of information systems and software applications each dealing with a different aspect of what it takes to run a company. ERP will handle Customer Orders, Inventory Management, planning, Shipments and Finances. A Quality Management System may define policies and procedures, a PLM may hold product specifications. Ultimately pulling all this information together ends up being done using spreadsheets. An MES solution should attempt to bridge these different sources of information by creating a bi-directional flow of information that improves the utility of all the systems in place by providing them with the real-time information they need. The Sepasoft MES Product suite provides the tools to realize an integrated system solution if required.
